Indian remarks against ISI rejected

Published November 29, 2002

ISLAMABAD, Nov 28: The Government of Pakistan rejects as malicious and preposterous the Indian external affairs minister‘s remarks accusing the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka of being a centre of ISI activities promoting terrorism in India.

According to a press release issued here the allegation is another cheap attempt by the distinguished minister to blame outsiders for the problems created by the wrong policies of successive Indian governments, especially the present BJP government.

No objective observer can be taken in by the type of blatant deception being practised by the Indian government. It is also about time that India gave up harassing its smaller neighbours.

Pakistan‘s High Commission in Dhaka, as indeed all the other Pakistan Missions abroad, are working within the internationally accepted diplomatic norms, the press release added.
