TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 21: Over a dozen dacoits took away valuables worth over Rs1.5 million from the house of a farmer in Chak 281-JB, Dawakhri, in Gojra Sadar police precincts on Friday night.
According to the police, 13 dacoits entered Zeeshan Ahmad's house, took the family at gunpoint and looted gold jewellery worth Rs1.4 million, prize bonds worth Rs150,000, three mobile phone sets and other valuables and fled.
In another incident, six dacoits took away gold ornaments worth Rs350,000 and Rs400,000 in cash from the house of Hatim Ali in Chak Ravi Khokhar in Kamalia Sadar police precincts.
In yet another incident, five dacoits took away gold ornaments worth Rs275,000, Rs100,000 in cash and other valuables from Muhammad Husain's house in Chah Rajaywala near Kamalia.
