HYDERABAD: Allowances demanded

HYDERABAD, Nov 28: The Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union held a protest meeting at the gate of the Thermal Power Station, Jamsh-oro, on Thursday to press for the acceptance of its demands.

Speaking at the meeting, the regional chairman of the union, Mohammad Sajan Panhwar, said that the protest day was being observed at the hydel and thermal power stations throughout Pakistan for the grant of generation, relief and hardship allowances and house acquisition and medical facilities to Wapda employees.

He demanded of Wapda high-ups to consider demands of employees objectively.

Naveed Ali Abbasi, Bashir Ahmed Chandio and others also spoke on the occasion.—Bureau
