Aamir and Ashraf steer KBBC into final

KARACHI, Nov 27: Aamir Sharif and Ashraf Yahya guided Karachi Basketball Club (KBBC) into the final of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak Floodlight basketball tournament registering 73-61 victory over Karachi Youth Club (KYC) in the first semi final at Arambagh Court Tuesday.

Aamir and Ashraf display, superb shooting, passing and rebound play to dominate from start to finish despite brilliant play by Irfan Ghani and Muhammad Haroon from KYC.

Scoring with consistency Aamir mustered 25 points including a three pointer. Excellent dribbler Ashraf Yahya also showed his class by scoring 23 with five three pointers.

KBBC was enjoying seven points lead at half time with score at 36-29. Though KYC scored three points more in the second session but they were unable to offer any real challenge to KBBC.

Irfan Ghani and Muhammad Haroon led KYC scoring spree with 20 and 19 points respectively. Haroon’s tally included three three pointer.
