KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain has said he is ready to hold talks with the Taliban for the sake of security, peace, stability of the country. During a telephone conversation with Malik Khan Marjan, the head of Fata Grand Alliance, here on Thursday the London-based MQM leader said he made the offer because he held the interests of Pakistan above everything else.

Mr Hussain said: “The forces inimical to Pakistan wanted to pit us against each other, hence I appeal to all Taliban leaders, youths and students to see through the conspiracies hatched by enemies of Pakistan and adopt the path of dialogue, instead of resorting to violence. I ask them to hold talks with tribal elders, dignitaries and other God-fearing people.”
