ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Thursday said Attorney General Molvi Anwarul Haq has to decide himself to represent the government before SC for NRO review case or memo commission on January 16, DawnNews reported.

The attorney general, earlier, asked the chief justice through a letter that how he can be present at both hearings on the same day.

The apex court had given the January 16 date for the hearing of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) review case while the memo commission’s hearing will be held on the same day at Islamabad High Court.

The CJ in his reply said that both hearings were important and any order in this regard would delay the proceedings in both.

He suggested that the AG should file a deferment application to reschedule the proceedings for either one of them.
