MULTAN, Nov 24: Two people, including the farm manager of Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali, were killed in a road accident near Layyah on Sunday evening.

Farm manager Khadim Jamali along with Ali Ahmad, Soba Khan and Sardar Bahadur was going to Islamabad from Naseerabad, Balochistan, by a car.

On Muzaffargarh-Mianwali Road near Sarwar Shaheed Chowk, his car overturned after hitting one Sarwar while saving a cyclist. Sarwar and Khadim died on the spot, while other car-riders sustained injuries.

The injured were taken to the Nishtar Hospital.

Sarwar was conductor of a coaster and was sitting on a roadside tyre-repairing shop when the accident took place.

The body of Khadim Jamali has been sent to his hometown, Rojhan Jamali.
