LAHORE: Bar slams Jamali

Published November 24, 2002

LAHORE, Nov 23: The Lahore High Bar Association alleged on Saturday that corrupt politicians and turncoats had been included in the federal cabinet.

In a press statement, Bar office-bearers alleged that Mr.Jamali had disappointed the whole nation, particularly lawyers, by taking oath under the LFO which according to them marked the appointment of a ‘puppet’ prime minister who would simply play into the hands of President Musharraf.

They feared that Jamali’s commitment to continue with the policies of the military government would lead to further usurpation of the fundamental rights of the people. — Reporter
