ISLAMABAD: Former law minister and founding member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Gilani on Wednesday announced his decision to join Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) and start politics again, DawnNews reported.

Speaking at a joint press conference with the party chief Imran Khan, Gilani along with former MPA Iftikharud din Kkatak and others announced to join PTI.

The former law minister had left the PPP after he was annoyed with the decision of late Benazir Bhutto’s choosing Sardar Farooq Ahmed Leghari as president in 1993.

Speaking on the occasion, Khan said the public coordination campaign of his party will pick up more pace in coming days.

He vowed to arrange further rallies in different parts of the country after the December 25 rally in Karachi.

Khan said he will move the apex court on the issue of dual nationality holders contesting in the elections.
