SUKKUR, Nov 22: Two Shar tribesmen were killed and five others injured by Kosh tribesmen somewhere between the Raunti and Karim Bux villages, Ghotki district, on Friday.

Five Shar tribesmen riding motorcycles were headed towards the Karim Bux village from the Raunti village when they were intercepted by Kosh tribesmen. All five were kidnapped and their motorcycles set on fire.

On learning about it, Shar tribesmen and police started chasing the Kosh tribesmen.

The latter opened fire as a result of which two Shars, Piaro Shar and Wazir Shar, were killed on the spot while three — Makhno, Qabool, and Chacker Shar — were injured seriously.

Some villagers rushed to the spot and in an exchange of fire two villagers, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and Sarwar, were also injured.

All the injured were taken to the Taluka hospital, Ubaro.

The police said that the Kosh tribesmen were hiding in a nearby forest.

TEN HOUSES GUTTED: At least 10 houses were gutted when a high-tension wire fell on one of them and started the fire in the Lashari village, near the Baberloi bypass, on Friday.
