"Noha" is the age-old art of storytelling that has its origins in pre-Islamic Arab and Persian society.
"Nohas" are also recited to recount the events of the Battle of Karbala during the month of Muhurram in Imambargahs around the world.
With the passing of time, and the evolution of story-telling, "nohakhwani" has also evolved and adapted with the help of electronic mediums and local styles.
