Each van possesses latest equipment which has capacity to defuse, transport and blast the bomb in case of any emergency. These vans will start functioning after a three-week training course being conducted by the European Union experts, which will commence in January 2012.

This was stated at a meeting held between IGP Javed Iqbal and five members of civil law-enforcement agencies of the European Union at the Punjab police headquarters.

Additional IG Training Sarmed Saeed, Additional IG CID Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera and DIG Elite Police Force Zulfiqar Cheema attended the meeting.
