PESHAWAR, Nov 29: A new political group, Pakistan Falah Party (PFP), emerged on Tuesday with its leadership claiming to have a plan for early solution to lawlessness, loadshedding and joblessness.

The PFP formation was announced by its central executive committee member, Qazi Attiqur Rehman, during a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, where party leaders Rashid Saleem Tarin, Qazi Mehboob Kibria and Dr Waliur Rehman were in also attendance.

Mr Qazi told reporters that the successive civilian and military governments’ failure to provide relief to the people against lawlessness, energy crisis and unemployment necessitated the formation of the new political party, which could successfully address the country’s socioeconomic and security issues within a short span of time.

He blamed civilian rulers and military dictators for the common man’s misery, saying they favoured landlords and capitalists to serve their political ends.

The PFP leader said the successive governments’ wrong policies had encouraged the Afghanistan-based Nato forces to violate the country’s sovereignty at will, adding that issuance of condemnation against such violations for public consumption were no more acceptable.

He asked the government to sever diplomatic ties with the US over the deadly cross-border incursions and end the country’s cooperation with the US in the so-called war against terrorism.

“Our alliance with the US against terrorism is to blame for out security issues and challenges, by and large,” he said.
