KARACHI: Wapda and Muslim FC recorded wins in the two Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) matches played at separate venues on Thursday.

Wapda edged past Habib Bank Limited (HBL) 2-1 at the Railway Football Stadium in Lahore.

The goals for the winners were scored by Arif Mahmood (21st and 68th mins) while Shahid Ali (72nd min) reduced the margin for the losing side.

Meanwhile, at the Agriculture University Ground in Faisalabad, Muslim FC beat PMC Athletico 1-0 with Muslim FC’s Mohammad Dawood scoring the match’s lone goal in the 18th minute.

Four matches were also played in Division-II. Ashraf Sugar Mills (ASM) beat Gawadar Port Authority (GPA) 2-1 at Karachi’s Korangi Baloch Stadium.

Mohammad Azeem (33rd min) and Umair Ashraf (42nd min) scored for ASM and Tariq Badal reduced the margin for GPA.

Also at Korangi Baloch Stadium, Pakistan Public Works Department (PPWD) beat Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) 2-1.

Both goals for the winners were scored by Mohammad (eighth and 16th mins) while Imran (75th min) scored for the losing side.

Pakistan Mansab FC Kharan and Baloch FC Quetta played a goalless draw at the Punjab University Old Campus Stadium in Lahore.

Another match played at the same ground saw Wohaib FC Lahore thrashing the Fata team 5-0 with Naeem Heera (46th min) Mohammad Shahzad (66th min), Ahmed Faheem (72nd min), Jibran bin Salman (82nd min) and Waqar Vicky (90+3 min) getting the goals for the winning side.
