KASUR, Nov 18: A man was burnt in a car in Wan Aadhan village near Pattoki on Monday.

The man, unidentified so far, was going to Okara from Pattoki by a car (IDK-9606) when he was intercepted by some people. The unidentified men threw petrol on the car and set it on fire. The car rider died on the spot.

However, the investigating officer said some people on a tractor were chasing the car. They stopped the car near Wan Aadhan, dragged out its rider and set him on fire. When the man fell unconscious, they put him in the car and set it ablaze.

BODIES: Bodies of the two prisoners who were tortured to death by jail officials on Sunday were handed over to the families on Monday.

Khiali Khan had been awarded 25-year rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs500,000 in a narcotic case, while Shahzad had been awarded life-imprisonment in a murder case.
