ABU DHABI: All-rounder Abdul Razzaq was on Tuesday ruled out of Pakistan's last two matches against Sri Lanka, throwing into doubt his participation for the tour of Bangladesh starting next week.

The 31-year-old injured his shoulder during the third day-night international against Sri Lanka in Dubai on Friday and missed out on the fourth match in Sharjah two days later.

“Razzaq has injured his shoulder and will be returning home,” assistant manager Naushad Ali told AFP. “He will undergo rehabilitation in the academy in Lahore.” Pakistan lead the ODI series 3-1 ahead of the fifth and final match in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. The teams also play a Twenty20 here on Friday.

The Pakistan team is then scheduled to play a Twenty20 international against Bangladesh on November 29, and go on to also play three one-day internationals and two Tests there.

Razzaq has so far played 46 Tests, 265 one-day internationals and 26 Twenty20s in a career that started in 1995.

Dropped after the World Cup for his poor performance, Razzaq scored 11 and three and took two wickets in the three matches he played against Sri Lanka, and a replacement will be called up should he not be able to make the tour.
