ISLAMABAD, Nov 17: Afghan students of International Islamic University (IIU) will stage a peaceful protest in front of Afghan Embassy on Monday to register their concerns over the killings of Kabul university students.

A spokesman for the students said the latest incident in which five bodies of students were found from a well in Kabul created a lot of concern and resentment among the Afghan students in Islamabad.

“We want to stage a peaceful protest in front of the Afghan embassy to convey our feelings to authorities in Kabul over the brutal killings of students. This is something which has worried all of us here,” he said.

Around 100 young Afghans studying in the IIU will participate in the protest, he added.

The spokesman said the students had not asked any other students’ body or organization to join the protest.

However, if someone joined us, it would at their own will, he added.
