Committee on migration in colleges

LAHORE, Nov 17: The hardship committee to allow migration of students in medical colleges of the province has been reconstituted which will hold its meetings quarterly.

It was decided in a meeting held here on Sunday with Chief Secretary Hafeez Akhtar Randhawa in chair. Among others who attended the meeting include additional chief secretary, provincial health secretary and secretary, regulation.

The meeting was told that there were three categories of migration in all the seven medical colleges of the province which included hardship, mutual and unilateral migration. It was decided in the meeting that in future hardship cases would be given preference.

The reconstituted committee would be headed by the chief secretary while the other members would include health secretary, vice-chancellor, University of Health Sciences, and principal executive officers of both the colleges concerned.—APP
