SHIKARPUR, Nov 16: Four persons of the Kalhoro tribe were injured early Saturday morning after 35 armed Jatoi tribesmen attacked the Ghulam Nabi Kalhoro village near the Chak town’s protective embankment.

The Kalhoro tribesmen were injured after Jatoi tribesmen opened fire on them as the Kalhoros tried to restrain them from taking away the cattle belonging to Gulzar Kalhoro.

The injured have been identified as Gulzar, Ayaz, Gul Bahar and Koro. A buffalo was also killed in the ensuing clash.

Two of the attackers, Saleem Qadrani Jatoi and Amin Qadrani Jatoi, were detained by the villagers along with two Kalashnikovs.

Other attackers, however, managed to escape.

The detained Jatoi tribesmen were later handed over to a police party, led by the DSP of Mahmoodabad.—Correspondent
