LAKKI MARWAT, Nov 16: A man killed a youth for allegedly having illicit relations with his daughter in a village Shah Hassan Khel, some 8km from here, in the suburbs of Lakki Marwat.

Police say Akbar Khan, son of Niaz Mohammad, had found his daughter, Hanifa Bibi, 18, with a villager Arab Khan in an objectionable position in a cattle pen when he had returned home after saying namaz on Friday night.

Akbar got hold of Arab Khan, son of Nizam Khan, fastened his hands and feet with rope, and threw him in a room. On the other hand, Hanifa, averting any fatal end of life, forthwith swallowed some pesticide, and died on the spot. Farmers usually keep the pesticide in their houses to use against insects in different grain.

When Akbar went to inform the relations of Arab Khan about the incident, the accused somehow got released himself and fled. But Akbar Khan found him in the village and killed him to restore his lost ‘honour’.

Later on, Akbar reported the matter to local police and presented the weapon used to kill the accused.
