Tank without girls’ college

Published November 17, 2001

TANK, Nov 16: The people here are very concerned at the NWFP government’s step-motherly attitude towards district Tank.

Besides its many other genuine needs the district has no girls schools or college.

Not long ago, the education department was looking for land to start a girls’ degree college, but for some unknown reason the project was shelved. Sadly, there was no provision for such a project in the 2001-2002 provincial budget.

Now the girls are left with no other choice but to take admission in the Girls Degree College, D.I. Khan, some 70km from here.
