DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 1: A goldsmith, Mohammad Iqbal, resident of Zafarabad Colony, Dera city, was shot dead allegedly by his rivals near Dera bypass road, police said.

The Dera Township police registered the case against unidentified accused and started investigation

Meanwhile, a man, Malik Mukhtar, was kidnapped by unidentified people in the Ruknu village in the precincts of Gomal University police station here, residents said. The police remained tight-lipped about the kidnapping when approached for comment.
