HYDERABAD, Nov 15: Workers of the University of Sindh’s unit of the Jeay Sindh Students Federation (JSSF) on Thursday staged a demonstration outside the local press club.

They were protesting against the rustication of a JSSF leader from Sindh University.

Speaking to the participants of the rally, Farhan Noorani, Nisar Lakher, Jamil Chandio and Sudhir Tunio said that Noor Nabi Halepoto, a third-year student of the department of pharmacy, was rusticated from the Sindh University two year ago for leading a rally against the uncalled for attitude of the department’s director, Osman Memon.

They said that they had been agitating for the past two years, demanding withdrawal of the rustication orders, but so far nothing had been done.

They called for restoring the admission of Halepoto and urged the vice chancellor to accept their charter of demands, otherwise they threatened of broadening the scope of their protest all over Sindh if their demands were not met.
