KARACHI: Only one match was played in the ongoing 8th Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL) as the other was moved a day ahead due to unavailability of ground on Thursday.

Army beat Pakistan Air Force (PAF) 1-0 at the Municipal Stadium in Rawalpindi. The all-important goal was scored by Ansar Abbas in the 64th minute.

Meanwhile, the other match that was to be played between Muslim FC and Afghan FC at the Sadiq Shaheed Stadium in Quetta had to be postponed for a day due to the ground also being booked for a local tournament match at the time. According to match commissioner Samad, the PPFL match will now take place at 10.00am on Friday.

Friday’s fixtures: Muslim FC v Afghan FC (10.00am) at Sadiq Shaheed Stadium, Quetta; PEL v Baloch FC (3.30pm) also at Sadiq Shaheed Stadium, Quetta; KRL v Navy (3.00pm) at Municipal Stadium, Rawalpindi.—Sports Reporter
