Kamran sparkles for cops

KARACHI, Nov 14: An unbeaten 70 by Kamran Hussain, enabled Sindh Police register a nine-wicket win over Karachi Gymkhana Whites, in the 17th Karachi Gymkhana Callmate Cricket Festival played Thursday.

Winning the toss and batting first Karachi Gymkhana were were skittled out for 116 in 22.3 overs, after being comfortably placed at 73 for one at one stage.

Waleed Malik top scored for the KG Whites with a fine 52 which included five boundaries.

Left-arm spinner Mohammad Ali finished off with figures of four for 19.

Sindh Police replied with 120 for one wicket in only 7.2 overs.

Left-hander Kamran opening the innings with Akif Alvi slamming 70 in only 24 deliveries which was studded with 10 fours and four mighty sixes.

Friday fixture: Tapal CC v Dolphins Baqai 1-30 p.m.
