THERE were two significant news items in a section of the press.

One pertained to the UN appeal for $357 million to help millions of Pakistanis affected by floods and the other one is the statement by Swiss bank director that $97 billion belonging to Pakistanis are accumulated in Swiss banks.

Although the entire nation knew about the money swindled by our politicians, but the exact amount was not known.

People of Pakistan are grateful to the Swiss bank’s director who gave the details of money plundered by the elite of the country.

The UN should stop its hunt for $357 million from member countries and instead $97 billion be retrieved from Swiss banks and a portion of it be released to Pakistan for flood victims.
