ISLAMABAD, Nov 11: The superintendent of Nusrat Hostel, Shahida Naqvi, deposed on Monday that she had received an envelope carrying three nude pictures of a PTV internee a year back.

While recording her statement in the court of additional district and sessions judge, Sanaullah Malik, in the PTV pornography case she said, “I disposed of the pictures as there was no mention of any name or address on the envelope.”

The PTV general-manager, Mustafa Mandokhel, was also present in the court during the hearing but he could not record his statement due to the absence of the lawyer of the accused.

The judge summoned the other witnesses on December 12.

The accused, Kaneez Fatima (Kinza), in league with two government officials, Fariddudin and Attaullah Nunari, allegedly took the victim, Bushra, to a house in I-10, gave some toxic material to her and made her nude photographs. Later the accused blackmailed the victim.

The victim submitted an application before the then SSP, Islamabad. The women police arrested Kaneez Fatima and registered a case against her.

Her challan has not yet been presented in the court despite a lapse of eight months.

A few days back Bushra along with Shahnaz Bokhari, chairperson of the Progressive Women’s Association (PWA) at a press conference had sought protection from the government as according to the victim the accused were threatening her of dire consequences.

She said, “my engagement was broken, I was made jobless, but I still have confidence on judiciary and I am sure that I will get justice”.

She urged the government to do justice to her.
