LAHORE, Sept 26: The United States is not in a position to lose a ‘trusted’ friend like Pakistan in war on terror, so it must remove its misunderstanding through a dialogue, says Navid Chadhry, who is President Asif Ali Zardari’s Coordinator for Punjab.

Talking to Dawn, Mr Chaudhry said it was a positive sign that all forces had gathered under the umbrella of democratic leadership to give a strong message to the external world that Pakistanis were united in the face of any threat.

He said those hardliners who wanted the government to sever relations with the US  should better guide the people to remain calm and not play with their sentiments instead.

The PPP leader further said that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani had convened an All Parties Conference which would be helpful in uniting all the political forces. — Staff Reporter
