KARACHI, Nov 11: The Edhi Trust has announced to charge Rs30 upto a distance of 10 kilometres for its ambulance service within the city limits and Rs3 per kilometre for out of town service, provided adequate donations are available with the trust.
Sources said 35 ambulances were non- functional owing to the non-availability of volunteer drivers. Hiring the services of the drivers on full salary coupled with the fuel arrangement had raised the trust’s expenditures.
A statement of the trust on Monday said the decline in the donations had badly affected the welfare work.—APP
