ISLAMABAD, Nov 10: Amir of Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said the political force of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) is a challenge to the US.

According to a press release, Qazi Hussain Ahmed was speaking at the central Majlis-i-Shoora of the Jamiat-i-Talaba Arabia Pakistan.

He said the MMA was confronted by secular forces as well as elements imposed from the outside. However, just for the lust of power, the MMA would not let any force harm the unity of the alliance, he said.

He said the people of the Punjab and Sindh were confronted with polarization between faith and politics. He said it was the duty of the Jamiat-i-Talaba Arabia Pakistan to create awareness among its workers.

Qazi Hussain Ahmad said the Holy Quran was the beacon of light for the world in general. He said his alliance was keen on enforcing the system of Quran in the society. He further said after the formation of the MMA, the walls of parochialism and prejudices had fallen. The doors of Madaris are open to all Muslims, he added.

He said the PPP was not sincere about forming an alliance with the MMA.
