SUKKUR, Nov 10: A major power break down occurred on Sunday in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Ghotki, Thul, Kandhkot, Kashmor, Pano Aqil and other parts of the interior parts of Sindh.

The Wapda officials were unable to restore power to Jacobabad, Thul, Kandhkot, and Pano Aqil till 10pm in the night. The breakdown occurred at about 10am in these areas.

In Sukkur, the power supply broke down at about 9pm and was not restored till the filing of this report.

Kashmor, Thul, Pano Aqil, and Jacobabad were the worst affected areas where the power supply remained suspended till morning.

The Wapda officials ascribed the breakdown to the heavy downpour, which lashed almost the entire Sindh.

They said that the power to Jacobabad, Kashmor and other parts of interior Sindh was suspended because of major faults while a fault had also developed in Guddu.
