KARACHI, Nov 8: A division bench of the Sindh High Court reserved on Friday judgment in five appeals filed by four accused/appellants.

The bench comprised Justice Shabbir Ahmed and Justice Mohammed Sadiq Leghari.

Usman Farooqui, Abdul Qadir Tawakkal, Rauf B. Qadri and Abdul Wahab, accused facing criminal cases before anti-corruption courts and special banking court (crimes in banking circle), filed the appeals against their conviction and sentences.

Earlier, counsel for the appellants/accused, including Khawaja Naveed Ahmed, Rasheed A. Razvi and Raza Hashmi, resumed their arguments on the fourth consecutive day objecting to the transfer of cases against their clients to accountability courts.

They said during pendency of trial/cases before anti-corruption and banking courts, the NAB chairman issued an order transferring the cases to ATC’s.— APP
