Foreign coach for PCB academy?

Published November 8, 2002

LAHORE, Nov 7: A foreign coach is likely to be hired to run the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

NCA was scheduled to start from Oct 1, but its inauguration has been delayed for an indefinite period due to non completion of its building.

Pakistan Cricket Board officials are considering the proposal to get a foreign coach for the academy. A local coach will also be appointed with the foreign coach.

PCB had offered the job to former national team coach and Test cricketer Mudassar Nazar.

Mudassar who was recently sacked as national team coach, refused the job in protest, saying that he had been meted a step-motherly treatmemt by PCB and he could no longer continue his association with them.
