KARACHI: Pakistan is celebrating Eidul Fitr today after Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee announced Tuesday that Shawwal moon was sighted.

Strict security measures have been adopted for today.

Meanwhile, Eid was celebrated on Tuesday in different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and all tribal agencies as well as Frontier Regions.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti and members of his cabinet celebrated Eid in accordance with an announcement by the local unofficial moon sighting committee of Masjid Qasim Ali Khan.
