Published November 7, 2002

ISLAMABAD, Nov 6: Chairman of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD), Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, on Wednesday said consultations for the formation of ARD-MMA coalition government “is in progress”, and in this regard, “decision will be taken soon.”

Talking to newsmen at his residence, he denied any differences within ARD regarding future setup.

Answering to a question about PPP contacts with government, he said the ARD had not imposed any ban on their contacts with government and we are sincere with the ARD.

To another question regarding election of president, he said they would accept the presidential election under 1973 Constitution and there was no other way for it.

Replying to a question regarding postponement of the National Assembly session, he said Makhdoom Amin Fahim had categorically denied it. He, however, claimed that “the other politicians have demanded postponement on behalf of the government.”—APP
