PESHAWAR, Nov 5: District Nazim Azam Afridi on Tuesday expressed the hope that laying of pipelines for gas supply to neglected areas will begin in the current fiscal year.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of Charpareza-Gulabad road, completed under Khushal Pakistan Programme, the Nazim disclosed that survey of areas in the district without gas supply had been completed.

In reply to a demand of Union Council Nazim Israrullah advocate, District Nazim Azam Afridi directed the works and services department to repair Pajaggi Road and Khazana-Mitrah road.

The Nazim expressed the hope that President Gen Pervez Musharraf would soon provide 200 transformers to the district, as promised before the referendum.—APP
