HYDERABAD, Nov 15: The Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party has condemned (STPP) the alleged atrocities unleashed by the management of Hyderabad central jail against the prisoners and said that the jail had been converted into a torture house.

In a joint statement issued here on Wednesday, central leaders of the party, Haider Shahani, Dr. Hameed Memon and Muzaffar Kalhoro have warned that if the torture of prisoner was not stopped, the party will “Gherao” the jail administration.

They said that in fact all the jails of Sindh have been converted into chambers of horror instead of reformatories and added that there was open violation of fundamental human rights in jails.

They alleged that the incumbent superintendent of central jail of Hyderabad, Awan, and deputy superintended Eijaz were responsible for the murder of many Sindhi people in the past.
