Published November 6, 2002

SUKKUR, Nov 5: Two persons were killed and another was injured in a clash between Kori and Ramejo tribes over a matrimonial dispute in Bagarji here on Tuesday.

Ali Ahmad and Nazeer were killed and Wali Mohammad was injured when some Ramejo tribesmen opened fire on them.

The police said those killed and injured were wanted by the police in many cases.

The dispute between the two tribes started when a Ramejo tribesman, Sohrab, and a girl of the Kori tribe, Shabana, married some six months ago without the consent of their elders.

Ten persons of both the tribes have been killed in the dispute so far.

JUTE BAGS: The Nazim of Ghotki district on Tuesday imposed a ban on the use of jute bags by growers and cotton ginners in the district to avoid contamination in cotton.
