MIRAMSHAH, Aug 14: Three soldiers were killed and 25 others injured in a rocket attack on Sunday on Tochi Scouts fort in Miramshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan Agency.

Officials said four rockets were fired at the fort at about 7.30am when soldiers were celebrating Independence Day.

One rocket hit a barracks inside the fort. Three soldiers died on the spot. Five of the injured soldiers were stated to be in a critical condition.

The local administration imposed a curfew on the area.—Pazir Gul
