ISLAMABAD, Nov 4: Pakistan has rejected the accusation levelled by Indian Deputy Prime Minister that the two persons killed by police at a New Delhi shopping mall on Sunday, were planning a terrorist strike at the behest of Pakistan to trigger communal violence in India.
The ministry of foreign affairs said the baseless and ludicrous allegation reflected deep anti-Pakistan malaise that afflicted Hindu fundamentalist leadership in India, says a Press release.
“Pakistan itself is a victim of foreign sponsored terrorism and has been in the forefront of international efforts to combat global terrorism,” the press release added.
The government of India would be well advised to undertake impartial investigations into such incidents which are rooted in an unjust and discriminatory social and political milieu in that country and to desist from finger pointing at Pakistan, it said.
