DADU, Aug 11: Chairman of the Awami Ittehad Party, Liaquat Ali Khan Jatoi, has demanded introduction of commissioner system in Sindh and announced to support nationalist parties in protest against the government.

Addressing a gathering here on Thursday, Mr Jatoi said that PPP was damaging Sindh and demanded that the rulers should apologise to public for revival of LG system.

He said that to prolong their rule, PPP had raised issue of creation of new provinces.

He said that PPP legislators were not going to their constituencies to avoid their voters reaction.

He accused PPP leaders and ministers of selling jobs in the district.

He said that without conducting interviews and tests, job letters were being issued against bribe.

He said that President Asif Ali Zardari was not taking notice of malpractices of party legislators.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: Ms Hasina, house wife, attempted to commit suicide by consuming pesticide due to poverty in Khudabad on Thursday.

She had asked her husband, who is a labourer, to manage food for children.

She attempted to commit suicide after her husband failed to do so.

She was admitted in a serious condition to Civil Hospital Dadu.
