LAHORE, Aug 9: Robbers took away cash and valuables worth Rs300,000 from the house of an education department employee in Sabzazar police limits. Three armed men entered the house of Iqbal, held family members at gunpoint and escaped after looting cash, jewellery and valuables.

Three robbers snatched Rs1,800 and a cell phone from Majid in City Raiwind police limits, while two armed men looted Rs4,000 and a cell phone from Azam in Iqbal Town police limits.

Two gun-toting men deprived Rizwan of Rs25,000, 2,000 UAE dirham and a cell phone in Johar Town police limits, while as many robbers snatched Rs15,000 and a cell phone from Naeem in Shahdara Town.

Two robbers looted Rs63,000 in cash and a cell phone from Anees in Township, while as many gunmen looted cash and jewellery worth Rs150,000 from Ibrar and his family in Sattokatla police limits.

TRANSFER: The Punjab government has transferred Dr Muhammad Saleh Tahir, additional director general, Anti-Corruption Establishment, Lahore, and posted him member (Inquiries), S&GAD, Punjab government, in his own pay and scale vice Shujauddin (additional district and sessions judge BS-20). Shujauddin has been posted additional DG, Anti-Corruption Establishment, Lahore, in place of Tahir, says a notification issued on Tuesday.
