Workers Demand salaries

KHAIRPUR, Oct 1: Hundreds of employees of taluka council, Khairpur, including sanitary staff, on Monday took out a procession. The procession marched on main roads of Khairpur town and raised slogans outside the office of district Nazim. They were demanding salaries, which have not been paid to them for the last two months. They said, they were forced not to perform their duties, as their problems were not being solved. District Nazim Khairpur Syeda Nafeesa Shah assured them of solution of their problems and payment of salaries.

DIES: A motorcyclist identified as Ali Hassan Jiskani was crushed to death on Sunday by a dumper near village Fateh Ali Shahani near Ranipur, on the National Highway. While a head constable named Nadir Hussain of Ranipur police was injured. The police have arrested the driver.
