LAHORE, Nov 3: National selection committee Sunday  announced four teams for the Super League One-day Ramazan Cup, starting at Gaddafi Stadium from Nov 11.

Former Test captains Moin Khan and Wasim Akram will lead Team ‘A’ and Team ‘D’ respectively while two more Test rejects, Azhar Mahmood and Shoaib Malik, have been nominated to captain Team ‘C’ and Team ‘B’, respectively.

Wasim, Azhar and Misbah-ul-Haq, who are in Pakistan’s one-day squad for series against Zimbabwe, will be available for first few games before they leave for Harare.

Selectors will name replacements for the trio later.

All teams will be allocated names once the sponsorship  deals are finalised.

Chief selector, Wasim Bari, first picked top 60 performers of last season and then included players who did well in the recent tournaments.

 “The teams are of equal strength and we expect the matches to  be competitive besides producing some real good talent,” Bari remarked.

PCB also decided the timing of the matches. Some matches will be played in day, some will be day/night fixtures and  some entirely during the night. However, according to the schedule  issued by PCB only the day/night matches were mentioned while there was no clearance about the other matches.
