HARIPUR, Aug 3: A teenaged boy committed suicide by shooting himself in Khalabat Township here on Wednesday.

Police quoted Saeed Ahmed Khan, an instructor at Government Vocational Institute Khalabat, as saying that his son Hasan Khan, 15, was a student at a local college and by nature he was short tempered. On Wednesday morning, his son locked himself inside his room and shot himself in the chest with a pistol and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, the City police claimed to have arrested a drunkard from village Sikandarpur. Police said that on receiving a complaint a police party raided the house of Chanzeb, an alleged drugs dealer, and recovered five bottles of liquor. —Correspondent
