PESHAWAR: No check on pickpockets

Published November 4, 2002

PESHAWAR, Nov 3: The bus stand in the limits of police station Gulbahar has become a safe haven for the pickpockets as the police have failed to control them.

When the affected people contact the police station concerned they refuse to register case against anyone and compelled them to leave the police station.

The commuters to Swabi, Swat, Dir, Buner, Hazara are the worst sufferers. In the rush the business of the pickpockets’ activity has flourished. Whenever the affected people complain police staff refuse to register their case.
