Truck art in Pakistan is considered to be an artistic expression by the truckers and painters. Colourful and intricately painted trucks are a tradition in Pakistan. The practice of decorating trucks has its roots in the days of the raj when craftsmen made colourful horse drawn carriages for the gentry. Different regions developed their own styles over time and some decorations served as reminders of home for drivers on long journeys. - Photos by AFP
