LAHORE, Nov 2: Asif Ali Zardari, spouse of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto, said on Saturday that his party would not come under government’s pressure on any issue.
Talking to his lawyers at the Kot Lakhpat Jail, where he was brought in connection with a narcotics case against him, Zardari criticized the rulers for keeping the two former prime ministers out of the electoral process.
It appeared, he said, that the establishment was determined to ruin the country.
Zardari said that it was regrettable that assets of those who had looted the country had not been made public. The case was adjourned to Nov 16.
