Jirga settles tribal feud

SHIKARPUR, Nov 2: A Jirga settled a two-year-old feud between the Kalhoro and the Jatoi tribes.

The Jirga, which was held on Friday, was presided over by sardar Khadim Hussain Khan Jatoi.

Jirga Ameen (judge) Khadim Hussain Khan Jatoi imposed a fine amounting to Rs1.5 million on the Piyaro Jatoi party.

Later, the representatives of both the disputing parties, including Munawar Ali Abbasi, Babal Khan Bhayo, Nawab Khan Bhayo and Mir Lal Hussain Jatoi, continued the proceedings with the approval of the parties concerned.

They imposed a fine amounting to Rs300,000 as compensation for the murder of Rasheed Jatoi and Rs100,000 each for the two Jatoi tribesmen, who had been injured in consequent clashes.
