KARACHI, July 26: Two players — Dawar Rehan and Fahad Khan — qualified for the juniors’ under-17 main round of the development series ranking tennis championship at Bath Island tennis club courts on Tuesday.

Dawar disposed of Owais Ahmed 6-2, 6-2 while Fahad brushed aside M. Saad 6-0, 6-0 in the two final qualifying round matches.

Two more players will complete the quartet of qualifiers in juniors’ category.

The qualifying round concludes on Wednesday.

Results: Men’s singles: Qualifying round one: Kaivan Irani bt M. Danish 6-0, 6-0; Humayoon bt Vikash 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.

Boys and girls under-15 singles: Qualifying round one: Sheroz bt Wania 6-0, 6-1; Hasnain bt Hasan Hameed 6-2, 6-3; M. Raza Sawani bt Bimal Saran 6-0, 6-0.

Juniors’ under-17 singles: Qualifying round one: Aun Ahmed bt Asad Khan 6-3, 0-6, 10-5.

Final qualifying round: Dawar Rehan bt Owais Ahmed 6-2, 6-2; Fahad Khan bt M. Saad 6-0, 6-0.

Boys’ and girls’ under-13 singles: Qualifying round one: Zubair bt Osama Khan 6-2, 6-2; Saad Saeed bt Saqib 6-4, 7-5.
